Nick Rose completes EMF Marathon in support of David’s Legacy

Our sincere congratulations to Nick Rose who completed the EMF Marathon in an incredible time of three hours forty-one minutes. A close friend of Captain Seath, Nick has now completed two marathons in support of The Captain David Seath Memorial Fund and has organised a team to participate in our annual golf day for the past three years.

“I Just want to say a big thank you to all those who donated generously towards my Edinburgh Marathon run on Sunday. Your contributions helped raise over £400 for the Captain David Seath Memorial Fund/H4H which is fantastic. Day started off wet as forecast but dried up by the end. Set off a bit quick but gained enough time to set a new PB at 3hrs 41mins.”

We offer our sincere thanks to Nick for his incredible dedication, commitment and energy with regards to supporting David’s legacy. If you are inspired by Nick’s story and wish to get involved in challenge fundraising, please contact gary.seath@outlook.com

All donations to the Captain David Seath Memorial Fund are used to support Help for Heroes’ fellowship programme in Scotland. The Band of Brothers and Band of Sisters networks provide social and learning activities, support, camaraderie and a wide range of opportunities to almost 800  Veterans and their families and carers across Scotland. So whether your donation today helps a Veteran learn new skills and gain confidence, or supports a family respite day or enables Help for Heroes staff to be there when a Veteran is in need; you can be sure you’re helping local heroes in David’s name and memory.

Previously, donations were used to support wounded, injured and sick personnel through Help for Heroes’ Quick Reaction Fund (QRF). A total of two hundred and forty-eight welfare grants were awarded in David’s name, which provided specialist sports equipment, respite breaks and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) therapy, as well as facilitating supported employment placements, training courses and the setting up of small businesses.

That’s why we continue to work with David’s chosen charity, Help for Heroes. By doing so, we can be confident that every single donation to the Captain David Seath Memorial Fund really does help to rebuild lives.
